Today marks a big change in my life that has me a whole lot scared and a whole lot excited all at once. I have been dying to share it with you all. As of yesterday, I am now a full time freelance illustrator/designer! I am official my own #bosslady! . This change came a lot sooner then I was planning. My husband and I have been praying for this chance for me to be full freelance, but when it actually knocked on my door I wanted to run scared. I didn't feel ready. The plan in my head wasn't matching up with reality. It's a big deal to realize that the only thing between financial stability or not is you. Your hard work, your perseverance, your talent. But I am a firm believer of following your gut and going for the gusto. I can do scary things and I can come out on top! Or maybe I will come out on the bottom, who know, but either way I will have tried! . This is me jumping into my 27th year full of excitement and joy over all the things that are in store! Not pictured is the fear and trepidation I ALSO feel, but I am choosing to focus on the joy. Thank you all so much for all of the wonderful birthday wishes! It has been SUCH a fun birthday week and I am so very grateful. . Year 26 only brought a handful of changes. We got a second cat, we moved to a new apartment 10 minutes away from our old one, we got to know new people in our neighborhood and got new callings in our church. My job stayed the same, stress level was about the same, everything felt pretty much the same. . But I have a feeling that 27 is going to bring a whole lot more changes then that. And a whole lot more growth. And hopefully a whole lot more cats? @gentlegiantphotography34? Please? . What big things are you look forward to in the next year? It is so easy to live in a constant state of comparison and competition in the social media world we live in. We are tethered to our phones like they are the last lifejacket on the FOMO (fear of missing out) boat. . It is refreshing when a movement like the one @psotaball started comes around. My biggest ally is my husband. We are going through some major life changes with our work right now, and we were up past midnight last night because I just couldn't shut my brain down.
